Halloween season, which is - in my opinion - one of the best times of year to visit!
I'm looking on the
Plaza Inn page and also see that it's blocked off from August 10 through the furthest out date that you can currently make reservations (which is mid-September at the time I'm answering your question).
Often this can happen when dining locations and/or attractions go down for refurbishment, but I'm not seeing it on the list for refurbishments on the
Daily Events Schedule page. Something else I've seen specifically with dining locations as we head into the end of year seasons (Halloween and Holiday specifically) is that many character dining locations will appear unbookable for a period before those seasons as those locations prepare their seasonal menus and character dining experiences.
For example,
Goofy's Kitchen appeared this way as recently as a couple of weeks ago, but now is showing their Halloween offerings and reservations are available for booking. It's possible something like this could be happening at Plaza Inn, or again that there will just be a period of refurbishment for this dining location - nothing has been officially announced at this time.
My suggestion would be to keep an eye on the Plaza Inn page and also to the
Disney Parks Blog to see if there are any updates or if reservations open up at all within the next couple of weeks. Sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you!
Alternatively, you can also look into the other
Character Dining opportunities around the Disneyland Resort to try and book there instead.
