Hi Mariam! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
If there is still availability at the gorgeous
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa a week prior to your visit, you can certainly book and pay in full at that time. I recommend it! We just enjoyed a stay there and found it to be the perfect location close to the parks and featuring some of the best dining spots at Disneyland Resort. Staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel also offers benefits like Early Entry, which we loved as early risers. We were able to do a lot in that extra time in the parks!
However, there is no way to delay payment and reserve your room or a
Vacation Package. If you were looking at a Vacation Package for later this summer, you could make a deposit and pay the rest when the balance is due, according to the current Vacation Package
terms. Unfortunately, you're too close to your preferred date for that option: Payment must be made in full for reservations made 30 days or less before arrival.
I also can't guarantee that
theme park reservations will be
available for your preferred park dates if you delay purchasing admission tickets until a week before your trip. Theme park reservations are required along with admission tickets for entry to the parks, and their availability is not guaranteed. It is possible during popular times of the year for parks or days to fill up.
So, while you can attempt to book your hotel and purchase your tickets the week leading up to your trip, you might find there is no availability at your preferred hotel or in your preferred park on your selected day. That would certainly be an unmagical turn of events. I suggest you either try to move your trip later to benefit from the payment options associated with Vacation Packages or check out the current
offers and discounts available to see if that doesn't bring your trip closer in reach right now. There are some really good ones this summer! Prices and terms are subject to change.
Additionally, you'd love Pixar Place Hotel and Disneyland Hotel just as much as Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Consider both these options if they are available or priced better to meet your family's budgetary needs. They all offer convenient access to the parks, great dining choices, and immersive theming. Disneyland Hotel is my favorite! Riding into Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park on the Disneyland Monorail is the best way to start a park day in my opinion.
Have a magical day.
