We are planning on going to Disneyland on January 8, 2024. I know that all the holiday things will be done and there are no events or parades, however, will there still be characters walking around? How do I find out how to see certain characters?

Hi Leah! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Yes, I have good news for you: You can still meet your favorite Characters during your visit, and there's an easy way to locate them. Download the Disneyland mobile app, which has an option to select Characters on the map. At the top of the map, switch from "Attractions" to "Characters." When you click on the Mickey Mouse icons, which indicate the location of a Character, you can then select the Character to see both their next appearance time and all of the day's appearance times.

Plus, at Disneyland Resort, you'll also casually run into Characters, who are strolling through the park, just like you. Sometimes, that's the most exciting way to meet them! Some of my family's favorite Character interactions have been unplanned like that. Alice and the Mad Hatter once took my boys by the hand and led them through Fantasyland in Disneyland Park!

Additionally, if you'd like to meet a Character while enjoying a tasty meal, a Character Dining Experience can be a great relaxing choice. Dining Reservations might still be available. People's plans change and when they do, spots open up, so it's worth checking to see if you can grab a spot at Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel or one of the other fantastic options.

    I hope this helps!
