Hi ya, Vanessa!
Thanks so much for your question! I was very excited to see some additional tours returning to the Disneyland Resort. I love the history of the parks, and tours are such a great way to get a little peek behind the scenes!
Knowing how much Walt loved trains, it's wonderful to see the
Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour coming to Disneyland Park! We don't have too many details on the tour yet, like the cost and what time the reservations will open each day. Sorry about that! Luckily, you won't hit your 60-day mark to make reservations until June, so on April 30, 2024, when reservations open you'll have some time to do a little research!
I did talk to a lovely Cast Member who shared that these reservations will be made through the Tour Department, so the release timing for reservations might be a bit different than dining reservations. I would recommend checking for reservations online a few days before your official reservation window opens first thing in the morning to get an idea of what time reservations pop up and how quickly they are booked.
As one of the original opening day attractions at Disneyland Park, the Disneyland Railroad holds so much history! I was thrilled last year when the
Disney Parks Blog shared that one of the original steam engines, the E. P. Ripley, was able to return to service in the park. I'm sure that the tour will include lots of wonderful history and knowledge from the amazing Cast Members who know these unique engineering marvels best. If it's available the tour also includes a ride on a very special train car: the Lilly Belle!
You can catch a glimpse of this beautiful ride on the Disney Parks Blog, and I hope you'll get to see it in person, too!
Enjoying the history and beauty of Disneyland Park is one of my favorite things, Vanessa. I hope you'll be able to learn something new on the tour this summer!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
