Planning our Disney World vacation for October '13 at Arts of Animation. If we purchase the dining plan and then a free promotion comes up, can we switch to the free dining plan?

    Hi there, Joy!

October is one of my very favorite times of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many wonderful things happening during that time like the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!

The free dining promotion that Disney has run in the past has certainly provided a wonderful, money-saving opportunity for many vacationing families. If the free dining promotion is announced and takes place during your vacation dates, you can call the Walt Disney Travel Company or your travel agent to see if the promotion can be added to your vacation package. Keep in mind that you may need to adjust your dates a little or change your Resort depending on what the specific details on the promotion are. The best way to keep abreast of special promotions going on is to check the Special Offers section of the Walt Disney World website often.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this promotion again this year too, as my family loves to take advantage of dining in different Walt Disney World restaurants each time we visit! Thanks so much for visiting the Moms Panel with your question and please feel free to ask more questions as you think of them!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
