Planning a Disney World vacation the first two weeks of May 2026. Question, need two separate rooms for lodging. One room for my wife and I, and a second room for my daughter, son-n-law, and two grand kids ages 7 & 5 years old. How do I do this online?

    Hi there! Welcome to planDisney!

Well, if this isn't just a Wonderland-worthy question! Like the Cheshire Cat, your question has me grinning from ear to ear because there is nothing more magical than going to The Most Magical Place on Earth with grandchildren! YAY! Being a planDisney panelist is SO MUCH FUN, but when I get to help a fellow grandparent, well, that is more special than painting the roses red! I'm happy to help you!

Booking separate rooms for my husband and me, as well as for our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters, is something I do frequently. To book separate rooms, you can choose between making two vacation packages or room-only reservations separately. You can book these reservations online through the Walt Disney World website, or you can call the Tickets and Hotel Reservations number to speak with a friendly Cast Member. There is no way on the website to book two separate rooms on one reservation. I also want to make sure you have the link to the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page. This page is regularly updated with new seasonal promotional offers, so if you don't see an offer that fits your dates right now, be sure to check back later.

Now, after making your reservations, you can request that your rooms be located close to each other or even be connected. You can submit this request by calling and speaking directly with a Cast Member or during your online check-in. Please keep in mind that while these requests are not guaranteed, it's always been my experience that Walt Disney World does its very best to honor your preferences.

Your next step is going to make sure that your family is connected through your My Disney Experience. I often travel with large parties, and Walt Disney World makes it very convenient to keep our family's plans organized and together on the My Disney Experience app. Be sure that everyone is connected through your Family & Friends List. This way, you can book your dining reservations, Lightning Lanes, and special events together as a group!

I hope this helps you navigate booking your separate rooms. If you have any other questions, you can reach back out to us, or feel free to give one of the Cast Members a call. Also, as you make your plans, please feel free to contact us again if you need advice about our favorite dining locations or shows to see with little ones. Every single trip I take with my granddaughters is so memorable. Like the White Rabbit, I hope you hop, hop, hop into a "Wonderland" of fun with your grandchildren and make magical memories to last a lifetime!

Have the most magical family vacation!
