I am planning a Disney World vacation for my family. There are 7 of us and I don't know where to start! 6 are adults and 1 teen. We want to stay on site with tickets to all the parks. Please help :)

Hello Mary! You came to the best place to start planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! My fellow planDisney panelists and I love using our own vacation experiences to assist Guests with their own planning!

The best place to start planning is to select a “home away from home.” You can view all of your resort hotel options by visiting the “Places to Stay” tab on the Walt Disney World Resort website! One of the things I love about the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection is that they offer hotels in the value, moderate, and deluxe categories! Now, because you want to visit the Disney Parks during your vacation, I strongly recommend that you select the “Package” option when booking your resort hotel. The package option provides a room (or rooms) in the hotel you choose, as well as park tickets for the number of days that you want to visit the parks! When you select a hotel, you’ll see two “buttons” on the webpage. One button will say “Room Only” while the other will say, “Package.” Again, I recommend selecting the “package” option!

Mary, I’m happy to provide a few recommendations within the Disney Resorts Collection! In the value category, I love Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! This is the “Disney-est” of all of the resorts! In the moderate range, I recommend Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort - Gran Destino Tower. Of those three moderate resorts, “top honors” go to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort - Gran Destino Tower! I feel like I get a “deluxe stay” at a moderate price point! This resort also has amazing Disney Dining options within the resort!

Finally, in the deluxe category, I recommend Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort! All three of these deluxe accommodations will provide you with a relaxing vacation getaway in a beautiful resort setting. Also, by staying at a deluxe resort, you have the extra perk of Extended Evening Theme Park hours! This means that you get to stay in select Disney Parks, on select evenings, after official park closing time! That is a great benefit of the deluxe resort hotels!

Mary, feel free to visit us again with more planning questions! My fellow panelists and I are happy to help!
