Hey, Bess and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
What do you get when you mix Mickey Mouse, delicious Halloween baked goodies, Trick-or-Treat candy trails, a rollicking parade, Disney villains and fireworks. Yep, you guessed it,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This is my favorite special event at Magic Kingdom Park as Mickey has conjured up spells to give you a devilishly good time.
This is a special event and you will need a separate party ticket. The party starts at 7:00 PM but they usually let you in around 4:00 PM. Guests are given party wristbands and regular day Guests are asked to leave by 6:00 PM so only party Guests are in Magic Kingdom Park for the ghoulish delights. Make sure to read the costume rules.
My family loves this party because we get time with so many Disney Characters. We have had fun with Jane and Terk, all Seven Dwarfs, and Alice and the Mad Hatter. This is an event where rare Disney Characters such as Moana, Jack Skellington and Sally as well as The Haunted Mansion Gravediggers (characters may change every year) come out to meet their friends.
We also love Happy Hallowishes Fireworks which we see from Main Street, U.S.A., adjacent to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor or Casey's Corner. The music matched to the fireworks colors is sorcery in the sky.
Disney Dad Tip: Make sure to catch the second Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade. The first one is usually the most crowded. Try to arrive at Liberty Square just in front of the Hall Of Presidents about 30 minutes before the parade. If that location is full then find a spot either on or in front of the elevated wooden walkway near the County Bear Jamboree. You must see the Headless Horseman's eerie ride.
Bess, I know you will have a spook-tacular time.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
