Hi we are planning a Disney World vacation in April 2016 and I notice magic bands. My question is do you need to pay for magic bands or do they come free with your stay at a Disney Resort and park passes.

Hi, Bernadette, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! MagicBands have made my day in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks so much easier. Everything I need, including FastPass+ selections, theme park tickets, Advanced Dining Reservations and Memory Maker, is stored online in My Disney Experience, which I have access to via my linked MagicBand.

MagicBands are offered at no cost to all Guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Once you link your Resort reservation to your My Disney Experience account, you will find a notification under the MagicBands and Cards tab that will allow you to customize your MagicBands and either ship them to your home or to your Resort hotel. There are several solid colors offered, just waiting to be matched to everyone in your party. You can even personalize the back of your MagicBands with each family member's name, which always helps my daughters keep track of their own MagicBand. If you have MagicBands from a previous trip that you would like to use again, there is also an option to decline a new one.

I hope this information helps you, Bernadette. Please let me know if you have any further questions as you continue to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
