Hi, planning Disney World trip for May 2019 with 5 full days to spend across all parks. We have two girls, 9 and 6, they love rides, characters, science and waterslides. Any tips on where we should spend most of our time/how to split across parks? Thanks

    Hi Stephanie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Since you will have five full days, you could do all four theme parks and one water park. Given your girls' interest in science and characters, I actually would start in Epcot. Our girls love Innoventions. At Epcot, we typically do a pre-park opening character dining reservation at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at 8:00 a.m. We finish breakfast by 9:00 a.m. and then get in the standby line for Frozen Ever After. We always do a pre-park opening character dining reservation at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall so that we can do the stand-by line for Frozen Ever After and have a shorter wait. Afterwards, we stop by to visit Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus.

Next, we go to our first Fast Pass+, usually Test Track because our girls love to design the cars. My husband pairs with one girl and I pair with the other so they can both design a car. Epcot has Fast Pass+ tiers. Or, you could choose Soarin' Around the World instead of Test Track for that Fast Pass+ tier. Use the attractions list at each park to see height requirements.

When you plan for Magic Kingdom, the Happily Ever After fireworks are a must-do. I always save us a spot close to the front of Cinderella Castle at least an hour prior to the show. If you send the girls with another adult to do a Fast Pass+ while you save the spot, be careful. The crowds get intense as it gets closer to the time of the show, so they need to get back to your viewing spot at least 30 minutes prior to the show.

Stephanie, one last note - the rebel forces are gathering to defeat the Dark Side - be sure to take your recruits to sign-up for Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
