We are planning a Disney world trip for April and would like to stay at two different resorts on property. We are flying so without a car how would we get from one resort to the next.

Hi, Christopher! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am truly indecisive when it comes to selecting a Disney Resort hotel, so my family often opts for a “split stay” where we visit 2 or more Disney Resort hotels during our Walt Disney World Resort vacation! With each Disney Resort hotel having its own theme and great amenities, it simply makes sense to choose more than one! Another reason we love a split stay is that we can stay at a Deluxe Disney Resort hotel for a few nights and then switch to a Moderate or Value Disney Resort hotel, making it a little easier on the budget.

Having never rented a car, the day before the switch, we called Bell Services from our Disney Resort hotel room who made a note that we wanted to have our luggage magically whisked away to our next Disney Resort hotel. Then, the night before, we pack everything back into our suitcases and keep a backpack with the carry-on items that we will need for the next day. In the morning, you can either ask that Bell Services come pick-up your luggage or you may be asked to bring it down to Bell Services yourself. When you check-in to your second Disney Resort hotel, your luggage MAY already be in your room, or will be delivered. You may have to visit Bell Services to pick it up. A few things to remember are that you cannot bring large suitcases on Disney Transportation (buses, monorail, boats), so using Bell Services or having a taxi bring you and your luggage to your second Disney Resort hotel is the way to go!

Also note that you get a new MagicBand with each Disney Resort hotel reservation, so a second MagicBand will be waiting for you! You can always opt out of it through your My Disney Experience account, and either way, your first MagicBand SHOULD work.

Happy planning and please come and visit us again soon!
