Planning a Disney World trip for 2 adults & an infant October 2026, but I am not sure where to start. What's the best way to price out/make reservations? Are October activities like the Not So Scary Halloween Party still engaging for kids under 2?

    Hey Morgan,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited you’re dreaming up a Walt Disney World vacation during one of the most festive seasons of the yEAR: Halloween!

Morgan, planning a visit to the most magical place on earth for your sweet little crew might feel a little overwhelming at first, but trust me, once you start the magical process, you’ll see planning is all part of the pixie-dusted adventure. And bonus! Disney has all the tools to make it effortless and FUN!

When it comes to pricing everything out and getting those reservations set, the easiest way to begin is by hopping onto the official Walt Disney World website or opening the My Disney Experience app. From there, you can plug in your dates, see which Disney Resort hotels fit your style and budget, and then add theme park tickets. It’ll give you a super clear picture of what your vacation could look like, and it magically organizes all of your plans into one happy little hub.

Now here’s a big piece of pixie dust: your tiny mouseketeer, being under 3 years old, gets to experience the magic totally free. No park ticket needed! And if you end up adding a special event like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, little ones under three just join the fun right alongside you. It’s a truly magical perk for families in this stage of life!

As for whether Halloween-time fun is engaging for kiddos under 2, the answer is: absolutely… depending on your tiny Mouseketeer. The vibes are adorable (friendly, not spooky), with fun costumes, treats, characters in their Halloween best, and festive decor everywhere. The only thing to keep in mind is that party nights can run late and include louder entertainment like fireworks, so it really comes down to your little one’s temperament. Some babies are happy snoozing in a stroller while you enjoy the magic, while others might prefer something a little more low-key. Either way, the daytime fall offerings around the parks are already so charming, you won’t miss out on the seasonal fun.

If you'd like help piecing together a sample plan for adults and baby (including when to book what, which parks tend to be gentler for stroller-friendly experiences, and good nap-friendly escape zones), I’d love to help make that magic come to life.

    Sending you a pumpkin-spiced pixie-dusted hugs,

    Emille
