Hi we are planning on going to Disney world the first 2 weeks of December 2014. I just cant wait to book .when the 2014 packages come out will I able to to book my trip then or will I have to wait till im closer to my dates of when I want to travel. Thanks

    Hi Melanie,

It is always a great idea to start planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Even though December 2014 seems so far away, I'm sure it will be here before you know it. December is such a magical time to travel to Walt Disney World with all the holiday decorations and special events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. That is also a great time since crowd levels tend to be lower than later in the month when everyone gets out of school and many begin their holiday travel! So, kudos on choosing an ideal time to go.

The vacation packages and rates for 2014 have not been released, but historically they are released in mid to late summer. Once these rates are released, you can book your vacation up to December 31, 2014. You are able to book rooms only up to 500 days in advance, however, if you want to take advantage of the package deals, you should wait. It won't be that much longer and a great way to keep an eye out on the most up-to-date promotions and exciting news is to check out the Walt Disney World Special Offers page or the Disney Parks Blog.

Have fun with your planning and don't hesitate to come back here and ask me more questions as they come up in your planning process. I'd be happy to help you out.
