Hello, We are planning on going to Disney World the first week of May next year. It's going to be our first so I was wondering when we should buy our tickets? I want to make sure we also get the best deals on our vacation package. Any suggestions?

    Hi Megan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on planning your first Walt Disney World vacation!  I hope you are  very excited about all the magical experiences awaiting your arrival.

If there is a certain resort on your wish list, you can call and book a room only reservation now and change it to a package deal later.  If you are a little more flexible with your accommodations, then you can wait until the 2015 vacation packages are released, which is usually mid to late summer.  You will want to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, as they are usually the first to announce such things. The Special Offers page is another great place to check frequently, to see if there are deals or discounts released for your travel dates.  With a few limitations, even if you have made a package reservation before a special offer is released, you are able to call later and request the discount to be added to your reservation.

I hope this information helps and gives you a great start in preparing for your wonderful vacation. I'd love to assist you further with planning your inaugural visit, so please send me a note anytime you have a question or concern.  I can't wait to hear from you!  Until then, have a delightfully Disney day!

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
