Hi! I am planning to be Disney World in the beginning of April. We hoped to go to Typhoon Lagoon. It shows closed for refurbishment. Any idea when it will reopen? Thanks!

    Hi Larissa,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Walt Disney World's theme parks, water parks, resorts, restaurants and shops are open 365 days a year. So, to keep up the quality Disney is known for, venues sometimes have to close temporarily for maintenance and updates. Typhoon Lagoon is currently undergoing one of those refurbishments.

But good news: According to the Walt Disney World park hours calendar, Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to reopen on Sunday, March 29, after its winter spruce-up. That's just in time for your visit. Mickey must have known you were coming!

So you can look forward to floating the lazy river at Castaway Creek, shooting through Crush 'n' Gusher, tubing down Keelhaul Falls and more. Did you know you even can schedule surf lessons?

If all that sun and fun leaves you hungry at the end of the day, Larissa, hop across the street to Disney Springs where a host of restaurants, bars and food stands await. Sounds like a perfect way to end the day to me.

    Enjoy!
