We are planning on going to Disney World on April 12-April 19. My husband is in the military and I was wondering if those dates are block dates for the military? We already have a resort reserved.

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Vanessa!

Welcome to planDisney, I’m so happy to hear from a fellow military family and even more happy to help you plan for your visit. Let me first begin with a huge, “Thank You”, from my military family to yours. We truly appreciate all your family does and so excited that you get a chance to visit Walt Disney World Resort.

I’m even more excited to hEAR that you do have your resort already booked! Were you able to book your stay using the military offer? If not, you can always give the Walt Disney World Resort a call and check to see if there’s any availability to switch to a military rate.

When it comes to your tickets, if you purchased the Disney Military Promotional Ticket, at your local U.S. military base ticket office, then you don’t have to worry about blackout dates. These tickets are good to use from February 15, 2021, through December 17, 2021. Just be sure to schedule your Theme Park Reservations for your upcoming visit. After that, you’re all set!

Photos are extremely important to our family and we are so happy that the Walt Disney World Resort also offers specially priced Memory Maker for Eligible Service Members and their spouses. I highly recommend taking advantage of this offer as well. It’s the best way to capture every moment of your visit including those on select attractions.

Have a Magical trip and please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
