Planning to take Disney Wish for a 4 night cruise with my and my friend's family. We have two kids around 4 years old and wondering which deck will be the best for a verandah connecting room? Also, Aft or Froward?

    Ahoy Lindsay!

Thanks for cruising by planDisney as you start planning your Disney Cruise Line vacation!  When cruising with little ones, I always place a high priority on choosing a stateroom location that is practically perfect in every way.  With so much to see and do on the Disney Wish, it's important to think about the top priorities for your family when selecting a room location.

Lindsay, on the Disney Cruise Line website you have the ability to view Deck Plans for each ship.  These will help to give you an idea of stateroom locations and connecting options - even filtering each deck by your prefered selections!  Verandah staterooms begin on Deck 6 and continue up through Deck 11.  My boys LOVE Disney's Oceaneer Club which is found on Deck 2 of the Disney Wish as well as the pools and splash areas found on Decks 11 and 12.  With that in mind, we usually choose to stay equally between these activities - ideally looking at Deck 6 or 7 if we were sailing on the Wish.  We also prefer to stay more towards the middle of the ship as opposed to too far Aft or Forward.

When you're ready to make your reservation, you can search "Find A Cruise" on the website to begin the process.  After selecting your cruise, you'll have the ability to confirm your desired number of staterooms, number of guests in each, and even toggle to only show available connecting rooms.  If you would prefer, you can also always call Disney Cruise Line directly and book with the assistance of a Cast Member.

Once you have your reservation, I'd suggest dowloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and signing into your account.  Not only will you be treated to a super fun countdown as your trip approaches, but you'll be able to complete important pre-cruise activities including reservations for Port Adventures, Online Check-In, and much more.  Once onboard, you'll find daily itineraries and dining menus available to view plus, one of my favorite features, Onboard Chat - all FREE to use!

Lindsay, I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning your magical cruise vacation.  If you have any other questions, please stop by planDisney again!
