Hi - We are planning on a Disney Vaction this year and were thinking about going this August. Do you know how the parks are this time of year? Is it crowded? Also, being on a budget, do you know of a great deal going on? Thank you so much! Your awesome!!

    Hi Jeff!

Our family has gone in August a few times in the past due to school schedule.  Although it's very hot and humid with a daily afternoon thunderstorm almost guaranteed, it still isn't a bad time to go.  Crowds tend to thin out towards mid to late August due to the fact that families with children are heading back to school.  I believe most of the schools in Florida start in early August.

As far as special offers, Disney has extended the Buy 4/Get 3 Free special through August 15th.  You can read more about that offer and others by clicking "Special Offers" in the upper right hand corner at disneyworld.com.  I also like to keep an eye on specials by visiting mousesavers.com

    Happy planning!  Diane
