Planning a disney vacation over Thanksgiving with wife and dd. at AOA mermaid room but thanksgiving day is booked. I am wanting to get the meal plan too. How hard would it be to stay at AOA for 3 nights check out stay pop 1 night and back at AoA the rest?

Hello, Laura!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

Oh, there have been many Walt Disney World Resort vacations where we have had to switch for just one night only to return to our previous resort the next day. Good news!  The transition is very easy.  Disney makes the whole process easy and there will be absolutely no difficulty concerning the Disney Dining Plan. They will even transfer your bags from one resort to the other.  As far as I'm concerned, the only difficult part is packing up your own bags.

As you are setting up the DDP, you will need to provide them with your reservation numbers so that the resorts are aware upon check-in.  If you have already set up your DDP, simply call (407)WDW-DINE to confirm that they are aware of your situation and the resort switch has been noted in the system.  This way, there will be no delays when checking in.
