Hi moms we are planning our disney vacation and dh is very tall, what resorts offer queen size beds? Thank you

    Hi Brenda,

All the deluxe Disney resorts offer queen-size beds.  In fact, some of them even offer king-size beds.  If you stay in a one-bedroom villa at any of the Disney Vacation Club-operated resorts, you will have access to one king-size bed in the master bedroom and a queen-size pull-out couch in the adjoining room.

In the moderate Disney resorts, you'll find a variety of bed sizes.  For instance, at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, many of the rooms with two beds have double beds, but there are rooms with one king-size bed too.  Avoid the pirate-themed rooms at this resort as the headboards and footboards on the pirate beds will give your husband too little room.

Several of Disney's moderate resorts are undergoing renovations that will replace double beds with queen-size beds.  Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside is one of those moderate resorts.  If you decide to book at this resort, be sure to ask for a newly renovated room on your reservation.

Disney's value resorts are probably a less desirable option for your family as these resorts typically have two double size beds.  Although a few rooms with a king-size bed are available.

You can find out what size beds are available at each resort by visiting www.disneyworld.com and clicking on "places to stay" at the top of the page.  Choose a resort category (value, deluxe, moderate, etc.) and then click on the resort of your choice.  If you select "room types and pricing" on the lower left side of the screen, a detailed description of amenities in the rooms will appear.

Best of luck as you choose the perfect resort for your upcoming Disney vacation!

    Jill
