Planning a Disney vacation this summer (kids will be 7 and 8). We have been once, stayed at the Polynesian and LOVED it. I am considering switching to a different resort. Any recommendations?

    Hi Irene:

I have two boys, 8 and 6, who have been travelling to Disney World since they were infants.  We have stayed in a number of different Resorts, including Polynesian.

Since you are looking at a different Resort for your next visit, check out the Yacht or Beach Club Resorts, which share the Stormalong Bay pool, considered by many to be the best pool on property featuring a major water slide, several sections, and a lazy river. Your kids will love this pool. Not only are these Resorts centrally located near that entertainment and restaurants of the Boardwalk area, but they are a quick walk away from Epcot, and long walk or short boat ride away from Hollywood Studios.

I also recommend Animal Kingdom Lodge, especially if you reserve a savanna-view room where your family can watch the animals walk by right outside your window.  The pools are great at Animal Kingdom Lodge. AKL Jambo House is home to the 11,000 square foot Uzima pool. The pool boasts a 67-foot slide. There is also Pumbaa's Fun and Games Arcade. AKL Kidani Village is home to the wonderful Samawati Springs pool.

    Enjoy your vacation.
