We are planning our 1st Disney vacation for October. We are not staying on-site and were wondering if we need to to be able to see all the fireworks and parades?

    Hi Abby!

You do not have to stay on-site at Walt Disney World Resort in order to see all of the fireworks and parades.  With the exception of the Electric Water Pageant parade, which occurs on the Seven Seas Lagoon and on Bay Lake, all of the parades take place inside the theme parks.  You just have to have a Magic Your Way ticket to visit the parks.  With regards to the fireworks, the best place to be is inside the theme park having the show.  But some of them can even be seen from outside the parks, such as the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach of the Polynesian or from the top of the Contemporary hotel.  You can even visit the various Walt Disney World Resort hotels and dine in some of the excellent restaurants there.  I recommend at least visiting one so that you can decide if you would like to stay there on your next trip!

Enjoy planning and have a magical vacation!
