We are planning a Disney vacation for next year, thinking of staying in Coronado Springs Resort this time. Which is the best area at this resort to have easy access to the food court, concierge desk and the buses? What are the pools like this Resort?

Hi Chere! You may request a room in any of the three main resort areas, Cabanas, Casitas, or Ranchos. However, there is no guarantee you will get the specific area you requested. Take a look a Disney's Coronado Springs Resort map here. Cabanas are modeled after rustic Mexican beach resorts. Cabanas in Building 9A are closest to the Quiet Pool area. Cabanas in Building 9B are near the Marina and close to El Centro, the resort's main building. Cabanas in Buildings 8A and 8B are relatively close to The Dig Site, the resort's feature pool. Casitas are three and four story Spanish-style stucco buildings painted in green pastels. Casitas located in Buildings 1 and 3 are the closest accommodations to El Centro. Ranchos are reminiscent of Southwestern cattle ranches featuring pueblo-style architecture. Ranchos are near The Dig Site but farthest from El Centro.

If I had to recommend a single location at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, it would be the Cabanas in Building 9B due to their proximity to El Centro, views of the Marina, and relative short walk to the resort's main bus stop. In addition, this location is only a moderate walk to The Dig Site, the fabulous archeologically-themed main pool. For Marina and Lago Dorado views, request a Water View Room from any of these room blocks: 9500-9507, 9600-9611, and 9650-9657. For views of the smaller lagoon, 4640-4647 and 9640-9647 are ideal. Please keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed. However, Cast Members will try to accommodate your preferences based on resort occupancy and other factors taking place during your arrival time. Regardless of which room you have, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort!
