We are planning on a Disney vacation mid to late Jan 2011. I have 2 girls ages 10 and 3 1/2. I am trying to decide whether to stay at an All Star resort or pay extra for a moderate resort. What would you recommend?

    Hi Tamara!

If you are not going to be spending much time in your hotel room or at the hotel in general (like at the pool), then I would save the money and stay at a Disney Value Resort.  All of them are very nice, though my personal favorite is Pop Century.  That's because it currently has the best bus service on property and the best food court; however, many guests do prefer the theming of one of the All Stars better, especially All Star Movies.

If you will be taking time off away from the parks to relax, and want more options at your hotel then you should consider staying in a Disney Moderate Resort.  For example, at Port Orleans Riverside, the pool has a water slide.  There's also boat rentals, bicycle rentals, and cane pole fishing at the resort.  Moderate Resorts also have a Table Service restaurant in addition to a food court, except for Port Orleans French Quarter (guests there can easily go over to Riverside).

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
