Hello...I am planning our Disney vacation for May 1st -8th this year and am looking for any little hits or advise. I am traveling with my husband and our 5 year old daughter, when we came last year we feel like we missed a lot..how to we maximize our trip?

Hi Taryn - it's great to hear from someone else from MA.  My family will also be at Walt Disney World the first week of May so say hi if you see us!

To maximize your trip, I'd recommend planning ahead.  Determine which attractions are "must-sees" and make sure you do those early!  I absolutely love the Passporter, which is a planner/guidebook hybrid.  It gives you great information, and has room to write down all of your plans.  You can purchase it online, or at many bookstores.

Next, make sure you determine which meals you want to have.  There are so many different restaurants at Walt Disney World, so you have lots of options.  I highly recommend making advanced dining reservations, which will allow you to eat where you want to eat, when you want to eat.

Also, with a week-long vacation, I'd recommend that you keep at least one or two afternoons free, to relax by the pool, or visit Downtown Disney.

    Have a great vacation!
