Hi.. we are planning the 1st Disney vacation for June '12, but probably staying off Disney property. As far as I can tell, the dining plans are only for resort guests, correct? If so, can we bring a small cooler for lunch & snacks into the parks? Than

    Hi Mary!

Yes, the Disney Dining Plans are for those guests staying at the Disney Resorts on Walt Disney World property and they typically come in a package with a room and park tickets.  So if you are staying off property, then you wouldn't be able to take advantage of a dining plan.

Yes, you can bring a small cooler for lunch and snacks into the parks of Walt Disney World.  Keep in mind that the cooler cannot have wheels.  I would recommend bringing a small soft sided cooler that has Ziploc bags of ice to keep your food cool during the day.  Also be aware that you are not permitted to bring in glass bottles or containers into the parks.

I hope that your next vacation in Walt Disney World is truly full of magic and memories!
