Hi We are planning our Disney vacation for January 2011 for 7 days. My husband and I have been planning to take our 4 year old son since he was born. Also bringing grandma and grandpa. Should we stay at a disney resort or at a nearby hotel. On a Budget.

Hi Michelle! January 2011, excluding the week after the New Year, tends to be Value Season for Walt Disney World Value Resorts. Value Season allows you to book a guest room on Disney property for about $82 per night. These accommodations will sleep up to 4 guests, just like most hotels off property. A few advantages of staying on Disney property are the use of Disney transportation from the airport, Magical Express, to and from the hotel resort; use of Disney transportation to theme parks, Downtown DIsney and other hotel resorts; Disney Dining Plan; and room-charge privileges throughout WDW.

Disney also offers guest suites that accommodate up to 6 guests at Disney's All-Star Music Resort for about $190 per night. This suite includes a queen-size bed, double-size sleeper sofa, two twin-size sleeper chairs, two bathrooms, and mini-kitchen.

Michelle, I believe that your family will enjoy staying on Disney property and not breaking your budget to do so!
