Hello, Elizabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question. Hooray! Your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner!
October means
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort and that brings lots of festive decor, ghoulishly delectable treats, Halloween overlays on some favorite attractions, and even Mickey and the gang get in to the spirit by donning their Halloween costumes. This time of year also brings Mickey's Halloween Party on select nights at Disneyland Park. During the first week of October, the Halloween party takes place on Tuesday, October 3, at 6:00 p.m. and Friday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m. If you do not have a ticket for Mickey's Halloween Party, you will need to leave Disneyland Park when the party begins on those dates. However, Disney California Adventure Park and the Downtown Disney District will remain open.
In my experience, sometimes Disneyland Park has fewer crowds during the daytime on party dates as people avoid the park altogether on those days. So, if you have
Park Hopper tickets, it might behoove you to enjoy Disneyland Park (with potentially less crowds) up until the party starts and then hop over to Disney California Adventure Park for more Halloween fun. You can even try the new
Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark attraction overlay that only happens after sunset.
I hope this helps. Please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
