Hi Buffy,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I took my daughter to Walt Disney World many times when she was an infant and toddler, and I truly believe that there is no age too young for Walt Disney World! Let me offer you some tips for traveling to Walt Disney World with a little one.
First, check out the
Walt Disney World planning page for preschoolers and little ones. Even though your grandson is not quite preschool age, this page has lots of ideas for traveling with young children, including attractions for the youngest guests. Speaking of attractions, also take a look at this Disney Parks Blog post on the
height requirements for attractions at Walt Disney World. This will let you see which attractions are okay for your little one. Some of my daughter's favorites when she was young were Dumbo the Flying Elephant and it's a small world at Magic Kingdom. There are attractions appropriate for little ones at each Walt Disney World theme park!
When my daughter was very young, I found it best to keep her on her regular schedule. If your grandson still naps, I recommend that someone take him back to your resort to nap midday. This will keep him happier, and thus, keep the traveling party happier! If you find yourself in one of the parks looking for a place to change or feed him, or that he really needs a break, check out the
Baby Care Centers. There is one located in each Walt Disney World theme park.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Buffy! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
