Planning our 1st Disney vacation Dec 13-16, 2012. (4 yr old girl). I am wondering how to plan which parks on which day on what attractions are good for her? Can my daughter participate in a parade? Show, Fireworks and Parades schedule also.

Hi Britta! Your vacation is coming up quickly so it is definitely time to plan your days.

If you have park hopper tickets you can start at one park and if it is crowded then head to another if you choose. If you don't have that ticket option it is more important to pick the park that has the best hours for your experience. The Extra Magic Hours are great but with a four year old you might not care to get up early or stay late in the parks. Parks that have Extra Magic Hours on a given day can tend to be more crowded. You can check out the hours for each park during the days of your vacation at the Disney website, www.disneyworld.com.

All of the parks will have super attractions geared for a younger age.  You can read about each one again at the Disney website. It is impossible to suggest specific lists for your daughter as each four year old is very different in their likes and dislikes. For that age I suggest you stay away from the thrill type roller coasters and any attraction that might have loud noises or periods of darkness. There are cast members at each attraction that can assist you to explain what might happen if you are unsure. You can also stop by Guest Relations at each park to go over the list with them.

There is one great parade which is actually a street party where your daughter can get in the street and dance with the characters. It is in the Magic Kingdom and called the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It Street Party and happens three times a day with two around noon time and one around 5:30.

I am out of room to share the fireworks and parade times here so please ask again or check on the website for that listing!
