If I am planning to be at Disney for two park days, but have a 3-day park pass (not park hopper) can I choose to do two parks in one day and one park the other? Or do we have to do the entry’s HAVE to be on separate days?

    Dear Adam,

Welcome to planDisney! How great that you have a trip to Walt Disney World Resort planned soon! Park tickets are one of my favorite topics - I love to show people the fact that the longer you stay, the more you save per day. Did you know that the cost of each day decreases for each additional day that you add on? So many people don't realize it! I am super fluent in "Disney World Tickets," and I am happy to help with your question.

The 1-10 day standard date-based Theme Park Ticket is a ticket that requires you to choose a start date at purchase. For your 3-day ticket, you’ll receive admission to one theme park per day for 3 days unless you add the Park Hopper option which allows you to visit multiple theme parks on the same day.  So, a 3-day Park Hopper ticket would be the best way to visit multiple parks on each day of your stay.

The great news is that you can upgrade your existing ticket to a Park Hopper ticket. Simply log into your My Disney Experience account, select My Plans and Tickets. If yours is a vacation package, you should be able to select Change Reservation, then under Theme Park Tickets select Change on the right. You can also contact the resort for help with upgrading your tickets.

For a short trip, a Park Hopper tickets are your best option to see as much magic as possible. I would also recommend adding Lightning Lane passes to your trip so that you can spend less time in the standby line. Lightning Lane passes can be purchased up to 7 days prior to your arrival date if you're a Disney resort guest, and up to 3 days prior to the start date on your ticket if you won't be staying at a Disney resort hotel. These tools are sure to help you maximize your time at Disney World.

I hope this helps, Adam. If you need any additional help with planning, please don’t hesitate to swing by. We’ll see ya real soon!

    Magically yours,
    Sakinah
