Hi Tina,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! You're getting the best of both worlds when you plan your trip around the holiday flip. One day you walk into the park and it's Halloween, and the next, Christmas has magically drifted in on a snowflake.
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort ends on October 31. After that, the Parks begin their winter transformation. There will be a flip in décor, but it typically happens gradually.
The Holidays Begin on November 14, 2025, and by then, all decorations should be in place.
I highly recommend watching the documentary
Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic on Disney+. It offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the Disney Parks prepare for the holidays. Cast Members work hard—often through the night—to transform the parks into a winter wonderland. It's truly magical!
June 25 marks “Halfway to the Holidays.” Last year, the Disney Parks Blog released an article around that time outlining what to expect for the holiday season. I recommend checking out the
2024 announcement to get an idea of what we might see in 2025. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog on Instagram so you can stay up to date on all the holiday magic!
A must-do for any Christmastime trip is catching
A Christmas Fantasy Parade. While many guests love to watch from Main Street, I’m a big fan of the viewing spots near “it’s a small world.” I can
catch the lighting , grab a great seat for the parade, and as a bonus, you can often hop on
“it’s a small world” holiday right after the parade with minimal wait time.
I hope this info was helpful, Tina! If you have any other questions, need more help, or want more tips, feel free to write back to me or any of my fellow panelists—we’d be thrilled to help.
Happy Planning!
