Hiya, Jamie!
From one American Mouseketeer to another, welcome to planDisney! You must be so excited to be embarking on a
magical vacation with your family in December. It truly will be the most wonderful time of the year!
The first step in your magical adventure will be securing your booking, which will include theme park tickets and Disney Hotel reservation if you're planning to stay in the middle of the magic, which I highly recommend. Each Guest will be required to purchase a theme park ticket for each day they plan to enter a theme park, and these tickets are not priced per attraction but rather at a standard rate for entry. The only attraction-specific expense would be for those hoping to bypass the standby queue for select attractions at an entirely optional additional cost.
Since you'll be traveling as a group with varied preferences, I completely understand your question about ticket pricing. Happily, the price of admission includes so much more than attractions. In a family of thrill-seekers, my mother stood alone in believing that both of her feet should remain planted on solid ground...Main Street, U.S.A., preferably. Happily, there was still plenty of magic to be made — like parades, shows, character experiences, and a few slower-moving attractions — so she never felt left out or that her price of admission didn't have value. She actually loved watching us zip by on outdoor attractions and regularly served as the family photographer.
I hope this clears things up, Jamie, and provides some peace of mind for your upcoming visit. Feel free to stop back by if any additional questions arise throughout the planning process. We're always happy to help here at
planDisney!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
