Welcome to planDisney, Daphne!
I still remember planning my honeymoon to Walt Disney World Resort. I didn't really know where to begin and so I requested"a parcel in the post" to help me plan. I received an exciting package that included a brochure and a DVD. I was so excited as I flipped through those pages and watched that DVD (multiple times!).
However, the way Guests plan their Disney vacation has changed since then. Disney has upped their commitment to reducing waste and caring for the environment. Therefore, unfortunately, Disney no longer sends out physical vacation planning materials, such as DVDs, brochures, maps, etc. However, there is a ton of digital content available online, which can really help you plan your dream Disney trip. Let me highlight some helpful resources for you, Daphne:
Walt Disney World Website
The Walt Disney World website has "whoozits and whatzits galore" when it comes to
vacation planning information. There's plenty to learn about the immersive Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the delectable dining options, and the magical
Theme Parks and destinations. You can even look at the most up-to-date Theme Park maps for Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Disney Cruise Line Website
This website has everything you need if you want to learn about the different Disney Cruises that await you, such as the Disney Dream, the Disney Wonder, and even the new
Disney Wish (sailing for the first time this summer). You can also learn about the various themed cruises on offer, such as
Marvel Day Sea. If you wish (no pun intended), you can even
plan your vacation through this website.
planDisney
On the planDisney website, you'll find expert advice from fellow Guests on a variety of Disney vacation topics, including Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. You can also find
informative videos, handy
Pocket Guides to the Disney Resorts, and
panelist recommendations for must-do experiences, must-eat snacks, must-do restaurants, top tips for adults-only vacations, and planning for downtime on your vacation. You can also follow us on
Instagram and subscribe to our
planDisney podcast.
I hope that's a helpful starting place, Daphne. I know that the initial stages of planning a Disney vacation can seem overwhelming. But you're not on your own! Your friends at planDisney are here for you every step of the way. Always feel free to reach out to us as questions arise.
Happy planning!
