We are planning our Disney trip, one person in our group has an AP, but the other 3 don't, but we have tickets for the AP holder, can they use the value of the ticket to renew their pass? This is a dinning plan/ticket package.

    Hi Justin,

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you took advantage of a great Special Offer to book your vacation at the Walt Disney World® Resort, so I understand your dilemma. And, as an Annual Passholder, I understand how important it is to renew that Annual Pass! I consulted with a cast member with our V.I. Passholder Support team. The cast member I spoke with said you can call to get assistance with applying the value of that ticket to the annual pass renewal. He said they may be able to make an exception. I suggest that you and the passholder in your group, together, call the V.I Passholder Support line with your specific package detail information.

Once you get that settled, if you have not done so already, I also suggest that you sit down and plan your dining, especially given that you are using a Disney Dining Plan. My family and I always sit down and identify the restaurants we plan to visit during our trip. With each restaurant, confirm that it accepts a dining plan by visiting the homepage and Clicking on View Dining Plans (use 1900 Park Fare as an example). Verify the number of meals each restaurant requires. As you plan, remember that the number of meals you will have is calculated per night of stay.

As you plan, remember to also check the park hours for the dates of your visit. If you will have little ones with you, check the height requirements for attractions. Review the layout of your resort hotel and make room requests. At Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, for example, we love to request a ground floor room. You can make some room requests via online check-in or you can call to speak to a cast member. Although requests are not guaranteed, we have been able to get many of our requests over the years.

Justin, it sounds like you are already off to an excellent start with planning! I will offer one final tip - Memory Maker. The photos with Disney's PhotoPass Service from our prior trips are priceless, especially that our girls are teenagers now. Every magical moment counts and I am so grateful we have photo evidence!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
