Hello! We are planning a Disney trip for next February with our then 2 year old son. Trying to decide if we should do a cruise or WDW. He probably won't be potty trained by then. Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

This is such a great question since both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line vacations are both really amazing options. I myself have a hard time trying to determine which vacation would fit best for my family because honestly we love doing both!

There is so much for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones to do at the Walt Disney World Resort. Soaring on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, sailing on it’s a small world, spinning round and round in a teacup at the Mad Tea Party, and posing for that obligatory family picture with Mickey Mouse are just a few of the things that are perfect for a First Visit! There are also these amazing Baby Care Centers located in each of the Theme Parks. These are a great place to feed, relax for a little bit, and even change diapers on full sized changing tables!

Now if you want the best of both worlds you can do a “land and sea” vacation. I actually did this when my youngest was just under a year and it was honestly the best vacation of our lives! We visited the Theme Parks for four days and then set sail on the Disney Dream for four nights. The only downfall is that my son couldn’t use the big pool since he wasn’t potty trained but Nemo’s Reef more than made up for it!

I hope that you are able to find the best vacation for your family! Have an Unforgettable time!
