    I am planning a Disney trip with friends for my husband's 40th birthday this fall. What would you recommend for resort choice as well as any dining suggestions? Anything else I can do to make it special?

    Hi, Nicol!

    As much as I love a Walt Disney World vacation with my kids, taking an adults-only trip with friends is a whole new world!  I see that you'll be arriving in September, and this is the perfect time for a 40th birthday celebration.  Your trip will coincide with the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, one of my favorite Walt Disney World events.

    If you plan to spend a lot of time at Epcot, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Disney's Beach Club Resort would all be great resort hotel options for you.  All three of these Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are just a short walk from Epcot's International Gateway entrance. 

    As far as dining options, when I visit during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, I love to forego a big table-service dinner in favor of sampling lots of different dishes from the numerous festival food booths.  However, if you are looking for more of a traditional, sit-down dining experience, Disney Springs has tons of great options for a friends' night out.

    If you're looking for a way to make your husband's birthday even more magical, I suggest you look into the Enchanted Extras Collection, which consists of over 100 unique experiences throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.  From unique tours to adventures in dining to in-room gift deliveries, I'm sure you will find something special for your husband's birthday.
