Hey there, Courtney!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for bringing your question to me. Please feel free to reach out anytime. I'm always here and happy to help. It truly means a lot that you trust me with something so important. Now, let's get to your question!
If it were my trip, I'd recommend visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the first two weeks of May. I've visited during this time for the past few years, and it's always been perfect. The crowds are manageable, and the weather is simply gorgeous. I was able to enjoy Mother's Day at The Most Magical Place on Earth this year, which was such a treat, and I enjoyed every second of it, but I've also been able to enjoy it the week of Cinco de Mayo, and both were equally amazing. You'll also be able to enjoy the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which is one of my favorites. The park transforms into a vibrant display of flowers and stunning topiaries. You have to see it! My favorite this year was the Moana display, though I always love spotting Princess Tiana and Winnie the Pooh. The craftsmanship behind these displays is incredible. Let me know which one ends up being your favorite!
I also recommend checking out the festival menu in advance and deciding which foods and drinks you want to try. I like to make a list of must-do experiences to help me avoid feeling overwhelmed by all the delicious options once I’m there.
Bonus tips: I always encourage Guests to bring a sweater, as evenings can get quite cool. And if you're anything like me, it's a great excuse to shop for some
Disney merchandise! It's also smart to pack a poncho, just in case it rains often in Florida, but showers tend to be brief. Being prepared helps you make the most of your day.
I love relaxing at my Disney Resort hotel in the afternoon and heading back to the parks in the evening. But I'm also someone who loves to experience the parks from open to close! If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, it's the perfect chance to enjoy the pool or unwind in your room. The beds are so comfortable, my mom even checked the tag to buy one for home! Disney really does comfort right.
Staying at a Disney Resort hotel also comes with
amazing perks, like
Early Theme Park Entry (you can enter the parks 30 minutes before the general public) and
complimentary resort transportation. After all, is it really a vacation if I have to do the driving?
Courtney, thank you again for your thoughtful question. I look forward to hearing from you next time!

Michelle
