Hi, I am planning a Disney trip for my family plus some extended family. If I book separate rooms for everyone using the vacation planner, is there a way to use separate payments for each reservation? Or would it all be one payment for each reservation?

Hiya, Maggie! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by with this question about planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. In just a few weeks, I will be walking down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. with my four-year-old nephew. I love Magic Kingdom Park with the soundtrack of "Oooh!," "Ahhh!," and "Wow!!!" Now that my kids are teens, I especially enjoy sharing these moments with extended family.

It sounds like you are the Fairy Godmother, with the wand orchestrating everything to make dreams come true. Luckily, you have some helpers to get your Disney vacation Bibbidi Bobbidi Booked! You can call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, and a Cast Member can help you find the rooms you want and apply a different form of payment for each resort reservation.

You can also book each room separately online and use a different form of payment for each reservation. You would just need to complete the transaction for one reservation before making another.

If you are making a room-only reservation, you will pay for the first night as your deposit, and the balance will be due at check-in. A vacation package (room and theme park tickets together) requires a deposit (currently $200), and the final payment is due 30 days before check-in. With the package, you can also make payments online while waiting for that "Countdown to Disney" number to get smaller. Be sure to verify the payment policies as they are subject to change, and I always check the cancellation policies, too. I never want to cancel, but it is good to know, just in case.

With a vacation package, you will have a few options to consider. You can add theme park tickets, including base tickets or tickets with the Park Hopper option, the Water Park and Sports option, or both. You can also add a Disney dining plan if you would like the convenience of knowing some of your meals and snacks are already budgeted and included in your package.

One tip: Be sure to check out the Special Offers page. You may find discounts on resort stays or theme park tickets for when you want to come. If you are flexible with your dates, a good discount could be a tie-breaker.

Also, make sure everyone has a MyDisney account so you can all be added to the resort reservations and connect as Family & Friends to plan and enjoy the parks together.

I hope your planning is as easy as a flick of a magic wand! Please come back to planDisney as you continue wishing and dreaming!

    Cheers!
