Welcome to the Disney Park Moms Panel, Kacey!
I have been traveling to the Disney Parks with my daughter since she was 18 months old and I can certainly tell you that there are plenty of attractions for little ones at the Walt Disney World Resort. The determining factor for whether a Guest can ride an attraction is height, not age. There are a multitude of
attractions without any height restrictions at all which mean even infants can ride along with parents. These include such favorites as Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, “it’s a small world,” Mad Tea Party, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Living with the Land, Toy Story Mania! and many, many others.
Then there are attractions that require Guests to be heights varying from 32” tall up to 48” tall or taller. Your 4-year-old may already be 40” tall or taller which means he can even ride some thrill attractions like Splash Mountain, Soarin’ Around the World, DINOSAUR, and Test Track, just to name a few. Measure your son, with his shoes on, before you visit the parks. You can then sort the
Attractions page by height to see just how many attractions will be available to him. If this visit will be his first exposure to theme park attractions, you might want to watch some attraction ride-through videos on YouTube so he can get a feel for the many types of attractions he can ride while at the Walt Disney World Resort.
I would love to share more tips with you, so please stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again with any other questions!
