I am planning a Disney trip for December 31st until January 8th. Can anyone let me know if it is super crowded around this time? Our last Disney trip it was so crowded.

Hello Ashely and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The holidays are a beautiful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Even though Christmas Day will have past, the decorations will be up, and everything will still be festive. However, the days surrounding Christmas and New Years are some of the busiest of the entire year. There is no doubt that it will indeed be very crowded. However, if you plan well and manage your expectations, I think that you and your family will have a wonderful time.

New Year's Eve itself can be extremely busy with one or more of the parks often closing to new admissions due to the crowds. You may instead want to celebrate at your resort where there will no doubt be lots of fun to be had. Disney's Contemporary Resort, in particular, is known for its fun-filled New Year's celebration.

For the remainder of your trip, make your FastPass+ selections as soon as you can, plan on arriving at the parks early, and set just a few priorities for each day and you will have yourself a fabulous trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

    See ya real soon,
