Planning our 2013 Disney trip. Debating between October and December. We went in December of 2011 and loved it. The Christmas decorations were up and it wasn't too crowded. I've heard October is nice though. Any thoughts on October vs December?

    Hi Carrie!!

Both times of the year that you have inquired about are great!!

As long as you visit during the first two weeks of December, I would recommend visiting then.  The first two weeks of December are very manageable crowd wise as the Christmas crowds usually come in during the third week of December.  You may find October crowds (except for Columbus Day Weekend) are a little more pleasing, but the weather will be cooler and more enjoyable in December.  I went a couple of years ago in October and it was in the 90's and very hot.  I also think that the Christmas decorations are absolutely beautiful!  The entire Walt Disney World Resort is decked out for Christmas while only select areas of the resort are decorated for Halloween.

I hope this helps and that you have a magical day!
