Welcome to planDisney, Kristen! I'm excited that you brought your question to us today; let's get into all the details of using your theme park tickets to make the most of your time during your visit!
Kristen, I've got some great news for you! I think you'll be happy to hear that when you purchase a standard 3-day
theme park ticket, your ticket is valid for admission over a period of five days, so you do not have to visit the parks on 3 consecutive days if you'd prefer not to! The date you will select when you make your purchase will be the first available date for theme park entry; your ticket will remain valid for the next five days after the date you select. You should also see the valid dates confirmed before you finalize your purchase, and this information will also show up on your Tickets and Passes tile in the
My Disney Experience mobile app once you have linked your tickets to your account. At this time, most date-based theme park tickets no longer require theme park reservations, so you have the added flexibility of deciding what days and which parks you'd like to visit over those five days!
There is also another ticket offer currently available; the
3-Day, 3-Park Ticket, which offers Guests admission to EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park between now and September 24, 2024. This special ticket is also valid for five days after its first use.
Kristen, since you want to take a break between the parks, I'd love to share some of my favorite ways to spend a non-park day at the Walt Disney World Resort! With so many exciting dining, shopping, and recreational activities to choose from, you can make lots of magical memories on those rest days! Here are some of my favorites:
- Enjoy a character brunch without rushing to get to a park! My favorite is the character dining at Topolino's Terrace - we love the food, the character interaction, and the rooftop views! You can even hop onboard the Disney Skyliner after your meal and head to Disney's BoardWalk to take in the sights or take a ride on a Surrey Bike!
- Visit a Disney Water Park or play a round of miniature golf at Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course or Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course! You can add the Water Park and Sports Option to your standard theme park ticket if you'd like to explore these offerings, or purchase admission separately!
- Spend some time at Disney Springs! With so many dining and shopping locations, you're sure to find some special souvenirs to bring home, or a delicious meal to enjoy!
- Enjoy your Disney Resort hotel! If you're staying as a Guest at a Disney Resort hotel, take advantage of the swimming pools and check with your front desk for any recreational offerings like Mickey tie dye shirts, hair wraps, or poolside games! You may even spot a Disney pal or two wandering around your resort when you least expect it!
Kristen, I hope this helps and I hope you have the most magical vacation! If you have any other planning questions, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're always happy to help spread the magic!
See you real soon,
Alison
