I am planning a Disney trip from Aug 3rd - Aug 7th. Can you tell me if at this time how the crowds are? Also staying a short time, how can we utilize are time to our benefit. This will be are last trip for awhile, and just want to make it extra special

Hi Karyn! The summer months at Walt Disney World are generally peak months for guest numbers. August is a bit different as schools are tending to return back in session earlier. This first week of the month might still be busy but it is a much better time then any week of July. With schools starting families like to be home doing their last minute back to school shopping.

Weather wise it will be hot and humid and afternoon rain showers almost a guarantee so be prepared for that.

You didn't mention how many days you will be visiting so will just give you some thoughts.  I usually like to suggest one day per park at the minimum.  If you don't have four full days then consider one day at the Magic Kingdom and the other days split up between the other parks. Again not knowing the age of your children makes it hard to set up an itinerary as I feel some parks are better then others according to the ages.

You will likely want to hit the newest things at Disney such as the new Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom and the new updated Test Track at Epcot. Maybe this is the trip to enjoy some of the out of park recreation such as boating or fishing excursion or a para-sailing trip. Since it is August a stop in at one of the great water parks will be a nice change for the family. In Downtown Disney you can hit Splitsville and let the family enjoy dining while bowling.

If you wish to give me a few more details I would be happy to offer more exact suggestions for your upcoming trip! I know it will be a fun one no matter what!
