I am planning on going to Disney Springs with my family June 5 we are on vacation from Michigan and I was wondering if there was going to be any characters there, my little girl wants to know if she needs to bring her autograph book. Thanks

Hey Howdy Hey Felicia and welcome to planDisney!

I bet you and your family are super excited about your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few days! Character greetings are a must for so many of us on a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Thank you for your question on character availability at Disney Springs. I will be happy to give you more details.

While character greetings are a big part of so many Guests on their experience, characters are typically not found in Disney Springs. I would encourage you to visit the Events Calendar for Disney Springs as you will find events for the whole family available during your visit which you may find non-Disney characters such as the Coca-Cola bear available for meet-in-greets.

If you are looking for character experiences outside of the parks, there are so many other opportunities you can look into. The first, and my preferred way, to meet the characters is with character dining. There are many options throughout Disney Resort Collection hotels where you can dine with your favorite pals. These opportunities are super special in that the characters will come to you. I feel you have more time with them and different opportunities for pictures and conversations you may not have in the parks. Disney caravans also make trips to many of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. This is where characters show up and roam around the resorts meeting Guests. These are not typically announced so make sure your daughter has her autograph book handy at all times when walking around the resorts!

I hope this information is helpful so you can better plan for your vacation and character greetings. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,
