Planning a disney holiday Orlando - week disney resort then onto cruise week. When the ship returns to port, it will prob be early in day however our flight home won't be leaving until late evening. R there any tour excursions port c we could do?

Thanks for cruisin' on in again, Kerry-anne!

You've got an awesome Land and Sea vacation planned -- and those are absolutely the best type of family getaways that I enjoy the most. It's really pretty awesome that every single person in your family can have something to do - somewhere they can be - and lots more that they can see... all in Disney style!

I always mention this to guests inquiring about disembarkation morning... your vacation is not quite over, so make sure you enjoy it to its fullest! You've got the right attitude already, and sounds like it'll be difficult to peel you away from the ship like many of us. Tears are optional on this day :-).  My family and I always have long sad faces as we say, "see 'ya real soon," to the wonderful cast & crew at the gangway as we exit.

Unfortunately, there are no port adventures at Port Canaveral. If your flight is not until the evening, then you've got all afternoon to spend somewhere. Our flights are usually in the late afternoon too, and it works since we like to leisurely disembark that morning. We've done a couple of things in the past, like renting a car to take a quick trip to NASA (Kennedy Space Center), and we've also done a trip to Downtown Disney for the afternoon. Keep in mind that the travel time will take about 45 minutes to an hour. You can return a rental car at the MCO airport if you rent it for the day. On the last day, we usually feel pretty relaxed and everything feels a bit in slow motion, so a mellow activity (or sometimes sleep or people watching), usually works for the kids. Allow ample time to head back to the airport.

I highly encourage you to enjoy your last breakfast service that morning. Depending on your dinner seating, you'll eat at around 6:45 am (if you were early dinner seating) or 8am (2nd seating). You can enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the same restaurant that you had dinner at the night before.

    Happy planning!
