Hi there, Kylie!
Thanks for visiting us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your questions. I think
Disney Gift Cards make the absolute perfect gift, plus they are a great way to budget spending on your Disneyland Resort vacation. I just love that almost anything at the Disneyland Resort can be purchased with these gift cards. These are my own personal preferred method of spending at the Resort so I can easily keep track of my budget during trips. You can even register your Disney Gift Cards online in case they are lost of stolen, and you can combine balances on to one card.
The amount of money your children will spend is definitely going to be individualized to your family and their needs. My advice is to purchase smaller increment gift cards that you can give them each day. This is also safer in case they misplace the gift cards. Once you see how much they will want to buy and how much items cost in the parks, you will have a better idea of what amount of gift cards to purchase. You can always buy more Disney Gift Cards at merchandise locations throughout the parks like at the Emporium in Disneyland Park and even in World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District. While most souvenirs can be purchased with Disney Gift Cards, you may want to keep some change on hand in case your children want souvenir
Pressed Coins. These machines mainly accept quarters as well as pennies or nickels to be pressed. You can locate these machines on the Disneyland app. I think these make such great and inexpensive keepsakes for kids!
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
