We are planning on going to Disney early to mid Jan of 2011and hoping to stay in a Cabin at Ft Wild. I am wondering how fast the cabins typically fill up? I want to try to wait it out a bit and wait for deals to sprout, but don't want to miss out. Thanks

Hi Jason! Love the Fort Wilderness cabins! We started staying in them about a year ago and now are great repeat guests. We love the peacefulness and the quiet atmosphere that surrounds you as it is especially appreciated after a hectic day in one of the busy parks.

I suggest you go ahead and book your cabin for your vacation.  If a great deal comes your way then you can cancel the first one and make another reservation.  It is impossible to know how far ahead to book a room or lodging to prevent you from not finding vacancy where you want to stay.  Groups, conventions, and special events will fill rooms quickly and there isn't any published listing of many of these to allow guests to know it will be a busy time in one resort or another.  The Disney marathon is in January which will book rooms for the runners and their families so be aware of this event. Hope this helps...get your reservation now!
