Hello, Nitendra, and welcome to planDisney!
You’re taking some notes from Aladdin and trying to be “one jump ahead” with your travel documentation. Great idea! Proper documentation ensures your transition from land to sea goes smoothly.
Guests who are legal permanent residents of the U.S. must provide a valid original Legal Permanent Resident Card. Copies are not acceptable. As a U.S. citizen, your son can present an original U.S. Passport OR an original or copy of a state-issued birth certificate and government-issued photo ID. Children 15 years of age and younger do not need a photo ID.
Each Disney Cruise Line Guest is responsible for identifying and obtaining the necessary visas before the cruise begins. You can find this information under Already Booked >
Travel Documentation on the Disney Cruise Line website. I recommend checking with the appropriate embassy or consulate of the countries you will visit for any required visas. You can also
call a friendly Disney Cruise Line reservation specialist who can help you determine which documents you’ll need to bring.
You are going to have the best time with your son! I took a mother-son cruise with my son last year. It was so nice to have uninterrupted time to laugh and play together. I have no doubt that you’ll come home with memories to last a lifetime. Sail back to planDisney if you have any additional questions. We can’t wait to help!
SEAS the adventure!
