Hi, we are planning our 2nd Disney cruise and stay this year but still considering the budget for the Disney hotel. Is it possible to book rooms at a value resort and upgrade to a moderate nearer the time if the rooms and budget allow and are available?

Hi Gillian! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A Disney Cruise Line Vacation and a Walt Disney World Resort stay sounds like the perfect mixture of experiences on both sea and land. We love extending our vacations when we cruise. For the most part, we usually book a value resort hotel when planning our trip.

It has been my experience that as we get closer to our scheduled trip, if our budget allows we have been able to upgrade our rooms to a moderate resort hotel. I will say however that sometimes rooms are not available depending on the time of year you are traveling. My advice to you is to choose the value resort that would make you the most happy. If the time comes and you can afford to upgrade to a moderate resort, call the resort reservation number and the cast member will be more than happy to check for availability!

I hope that you have a pixie dusted vacation!
